Daniel Reichard and special guests from Broadway ring in the holidays in Gettin' on the Good List, which begins Dec. 12 at the Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theatre.
The original Jersey Boys star leads the Dec. 12, 13 and 14 performances of the evening he co-authored with Mark Noonan and Christopher Spaulding. Peter Gregus directs Gettin' on the Good List, which has musical direction and arrangements by Eric Svejcar (Jacques Brel).
Joining Reichard are Tony winner Karen Ziemba (Curtains, Contact), Tony nominee J. Robert Spencer (Next to Normal, Jersey Boys), Shoshana Bean (Wicked), Tony nominee Marc Kudisch (9 to 5, The Apple Tree), Tituss Burgess (Guys & Dolls, The Little Mermaid), Cass Morgan (Memphis), Nick Adams (A Chorus Line, Guys & Dolls) and Sara Schmidt (Jersey Boys).
Good List also feature Robert Ousley as Santa Claus and Rachelle Rak (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and Sweetie alternating as Mrs. Claus.
According to press notes, Reichard explores "the music, memories, complexities and joys of the Christmas season." He is set to cover songs by Bing Crosby, George Gershwin, Coldplay, Alicia Keys and Paul Williams "as he tries to get himself off this year's Naughty List! Join Daniel, Mrs. Claus, and even Santa himself on a journey to discover why we need Christmas in difficult times like these!"
Advertisement Daniel Reichard originated the role of Bob Gaudio in the hit musical Jersey Boys at the La Jolla Playhouse, repeating his work for Broadway. Reichard made his New York debut in Forbidden Broadway: 20th Anniversary Celebration and then played Keith Haring in the Public Theater's Radiant Baby. He appeared Off-Broadway in The Thing About Men and in the City Opera presentation of Candide.
Gettin' on the Good List benefits International Partners in Mission, a non-profit human relief organization.
Showtimes are Dec. 12 at 11 PM; Dec. 13 at 7 PM; and Dec. 14 at 8 PM. For tickets, priced $40 (general admission) and $80 (open bar, preferred seating, VIP cocktail party), visit Smarttix.
